The Project Landing Foundation ran a pilot in 2018 and 2019 in North Brabant and South Holland. For six days we took newcomers to the Netherlands on landscape expeditions. With the mission to inspire and guide these newcomers through the process of discovering the landscape, making sense of and relating to the new physical environment they now call their new home.

During the intensive research and preparation period, but also during the expeditions themselves, we enjoyed working with our partners and financiers: Natuurmonumenten, Staatsbosbeheer, IVN, Landscape Knowledge Center of the University of Groningen, Groendomein Wasven, Erfgoedhuis Zuid-Holland, Stichting Het Brabants Landscape, KNNV, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Fonds 1818. Their (financial) support and expertise have contributed to the project Landing Foundation’s pilot being a success.

In early 2020, after successfully completing the pilot phase, we looked for the best opportunities to continue our plans and ambitions for our foundation. We also looked at the best form under which we can implement these plans. That is why we decided to stop with the foundation and to further expand Project Landing and give it a new form.

A number of steps have been  ‘on hold’ due to the Corona crisis. But behind the scenes, a lot of work is being done at Project Landing. In the course of 2020 we will update this website and present to you the new partnerships and activities that Project Landing is developing.

Until then, enjoy beautiful nature walks in these times of corona. Where possible and with care for others. And take good care of yourself too!
